- Doongri Festival
Himachal Pradesh celebrates the Doongri Festival in May. The highlight of this festival is a colourful fair held near the famous Hadimba Temple called the Hadimba Devi Fair.
This festival marks the coming of spring when the entire Kullu valley will soon be in bloom. To add some fun and colour to this festival, many competitions take place with small kites flying in the sky. This Spring welcome is also called ‘Basant Panchami’ in different parts of the country.
